Traditional saison brew layered atop wine-barrel ageing gives it a new dimension I like.

On tap at Toronado, Seattle.
Appearance is dark golden and cloudy, with a small head and huge thick lacing that lasts.
Aroma combines classic Belgian yeast with spiciness.
Taste is slightly sweet, lots of yeast, with quite a bit of rye. It's not happy at all, and not the least bit tart, unlike many saisons.
Mouth feel is right down the middle for the style, neither thick nor thin.
Overall, it's a fine saison, and speaks well for the Greenwood coop.
