Canned 10/9/18. Pitch black body with a very modest khaki colored head that faded quickly leaving a thin ring around the edges. Lacing is present but, is sparse/spotty. A rich roasted coffee smell with a bit of floral and molasses accents. A nice punch of black coffee upfront on the flavor, hints of sweetness and char and licorice. Full body and smooth finish, on the lighter side in terms of carbonation. Great beer for the cool weather.

Traded for this a while ago and as usual, finally got around to it a while later! Loved the can art for this with the Turkish-inspired design and the taste of this felt like something exotic as well! Not a typical American Porter, the taste of this was just as the title would indicate as this was as smooth as fresh-brewed coffee with just a bit too much cardamom with it, making this quite bitter and sweet at the same time!

The pour to this was solid as the beer had a brown hue with a solid but not overly thick tan head that complemented the liquid quite nicely. Lots of coffee and cardamom in the aroma along with brown sugar, molasses, and a roasted smell as all of those were also found in the taste. Not terribly bitter, burnt, or roasted, the coffee was spot-on but the sweetness was almost too much to overtake it. Somewhat chewy, this had a relatively thin mouthfeel and not a lot of carbonation, leading to the espresso-like consistency that suited the flavors well.

Just the right amount of alcohol was in this as I could feel a slight buzz and tasted a bit of it when I finally polished this off. While not terribly appealing to look at and lacking in lacing aside from the thin rings along the top of my pint glass, there wasn't much else wrong with this beer. A welcome change from Magnify's usual offerings and sure to please anyone who loves Porters, coffee beers, or something experimental. I can't believe that this won't be brewed again!

Pours a murky dark brown color, head receded quickly. Smells of coffee, smoke, and malt. Taste is coffee forward, with a subtle smokiness. The coffee is of the smooth, less burnt variety. Very pleasant. Feel is typical of the style. Overall, a very nice and very unique coffee porter.

Pours a deep brown,
Almost black, with an inch of light tan head.
Interesting beer, taste like it has mint, spices, basil, roasted mats, dark chocolate, bitterness, and light coffee. Lighter body and moderate carbonation.
Overall I wasn't a huge fan of this one.

Poured from 16 oz. can into Magnify tulip glass. It pours a dark walnut with one finger of khaki-colored head and lacing with excellent retention. It smells of dark roasted malt, ground coffee, caramel, and nuts. The taste is decidedly coffee-forward: dark and rich. It features a nice malt backbone with hints of vanilla and nuts. It's one of the best coffee-flavored beers I've had. The coffee taste is not as bitter as some of the "burnt" coffee porters. But it still has a bit of a bite at the finish. For a porter, it's medium-bodied, lightly carbonated, and the 7% ABV presents no impediment to drinking. As I said, this is a really good coffee porter.

Pours super brown, nearly black in color with a finger of light brown head. Aroma is heavy on the cardamom with an almost green mint quality. Taste is cardamom upfront with a bit of coffee followed by some sweetness in the finish. Good mouthfeel, medium in body with moderate carbonation. Overall a tasty beer ands well done adjunct porter. I'd personally prefer a little more coffee and a little less cardamom, I find it's better as a subtle accent flavor but that's personal preference.
