Thanks to SammyJaxxx for another surprise from the great state of New Jersey.
This pours, from a pint can, a darker side of gold in color. Off-white foam rises 2 inches or so and the retreats to a finger. Some clutter lacing. Smell is subtle, not very strong. A general hop note, with a hint of fruit and citrus followed by some crackers malt, and then a hint of oak. Dry, sanded oak. Flavor is bringing much of the same. But the subtlety of the oak notes make this a very interesting beer. Mouthfeel is on the slightly full side for a lager.
Overall, an interesting and enjoyable IPL. Only adjustment I'd like to see, is a bit more in the hops for the nose and flavor.

I had this on draught in a bar not far from the brewery so it was fresh. Served in a pint glass. It poured a hazy golden color with two fingers of cream-colored head and extensive lacing. The lacing lasted through the pour. It smelled of melon, floral hops, and oak. The aroma burst forth from the glass. It's a delicious lager with the citra hops present from beginning to end. The melon adds a fruity sweetness and you can taste the oak, as well. It's light, crisp, and extremely drinkable with a manageable ABV of 6.5%. Overall, it is a terrific offering from Carton. I don't have much background with IPL's; I enjoyed Founders Dissenter. I wish more brewers attempted this style. Magnify has a winner. I hope they can it again soon!

This is an incredible beer. It has a smoothness unlike any beer as hoppy and it's got more aroma and taste than any beer that drinks as easy. Everything I thought I knew about lagers is wrong.
