10/9/16...pours light to medium copper with heavy white foam. Woodsy malt nose. Smooth clean malty taste, oktoberfest marzen like with an oaky background. Peppery hop bite, real nice bitter close. Excellent/.

A: Bright goldenrod honey with some surprising lacing. A touch on the murky, like sun through a cloud.
S: Clean doughy malt with a sugary toast impression.
M: Medium-Light body. Medium-high carb, fine but a touch heavy. Dry without much smoothness.
T: An oaked beer it profiles quite dry and doughy, but a bit flaky. A rather vanilla laden with some tannin in base. Not overly hoppy, but not crushable either.

I had this on draught at the brewery. 16 oz. pour into a mason jar glass. It pours a golden-honey color with brown hues. The milk-white head dissipated very quickly. It features a nice lager aroma of roasted malt and nuts, along with some faint floral hops. It's a tasty Fall lager with a solid base of malt and nuts but with a more hoppy, slightly bitter finish than a Marzen. With a moderate ABV of 5.2% it is a sessionable lager that is perfect for the autumn - it would pair well with a light meal or for casual drinking. It features moderate carbonation. Overall, it's a very nice APL.
