This was yet another beer from Magnify that I picked up over a year ago and took a while to get to, as I'm still in the midst of going through my Stash. Like most of what I've had from them recently, this was quite juicy, enjoyable, and went down easily but at the same time, too similar to what else they were offering in the American Imperial IPA department.
As usual, the pour to this was fine and typical for something from Magnify. A cloudy, off-gold hue, plenty of head, and spots of leftover lacing were all seen and par for the course, as well. Lots of papaya, mango, and onion in the spicy, tropical nose with a hint of yeast in there as well. The taste had all of these as well with some sticky tropical juice, rind, and deep citrus in the mix as well. A bit of dank forest and white chocolate came through in the back and both the aftertaste and malt were basic, at best...
The alcohol in this was well-hidden and there wasn't a lot of carbonation to scrub the flavors away, as well. This was a nice, basic beer from Magnify that wouldn't offend anyone but didn't break any new ground either. With so many other choices out there, this would only be worth reaching for during a long session or when anything else wasn't available...
