Lurching Towards the Moon is an imperial IPA based off of Lurching Towards The Sun Imperial IPA. We took the same base recipe but revamped the hop schedule. This beer was triple dry-hopped with as much Galaxy, Mosaic and Ella we could possibly pack into one beer.

L-This checks all the boxes........hazy, juicy,, cloudy........1/2 inch head that settles into a white cap
S-Juicy, tropical hops......melons, mango, orange, pineapple, tangerines
T-follows the nose......very juicy......fruity to floral hops......pineapples/ tangerines, orange.......floral notes dance around the fruity hops
F-medium......creamy....mild carbonation but a slight fizziness......
O-very drinkable, crushable brew that hides the 8.5% very well making it slightly dangerous as this is an easy drinker that could creep up on you.

14 oz. draft at the brewery. It pours an opaque golden-straw color with orange hues and a milk-white head that dissipated slowly leaving a thin lacing. The aromatic nose features lemon, lime, onion, and floral hops. The first taste I noticed was sweet oats, along with lemon, tangerine, and pineapple. The blend of Mosaic, Galaxy, and Ella hops adds lots of flavor but not much bitterness. It finishes with a slight yeast burn, in a good way. The flavors are distinct but overall rather subtle. This ale is creamy and smooth with pleasant carbonation, and its 8.5% ABV is surprisingly potent. Overall, it's another first rate DIPA from Magnify. It has lots of flavor and punches above its weight.
