Flexitarian is a 12.6% Imperial Stout brewed in collaboration with our good friends at Aslin Beer Company. We brewed a thick, rich base beer, and conditioned it on significantly more coconut we’ve ever put into a beer, white chocolate, and coffee from our new west coast buds at Mostra Coffee.

Reviewed 5 days after bottle release. Poured from 500 ML bottle into a Magnify tulip glass. It pours almost ink black with dark walnut and slight cola hues at the bottom of the glass. The creamy, medium-mocha head dissipated quickly leaving a film of creamy lacing. The fragrant nose features milk chocolate, coffee, vanilla, cinnamon, and lots of coconut. It has a strong pastry stout aroma. Coconut is the initially prevalent taste but there is also creamy vanilla, cinnamon, coffee, and lots of chocolate. All the adjuncts taste very fresh. It's most definitely on the sweet side. There is almost no bitterness. As the glass sits, the flavors increasingly blend until they are seamless. The best attribute of this Stout is its feel: it's viscous and super creamy. The carbonation is on the low/moderate side and it drinks below its 12.6% ABV. This is a prime dessert beer. Overall, Magnify, with some help from Aslin Beer Company, proves that it can play to win the pastry stout game.
