Collaboration with Kane Brewing Company
Sweeter, Thicker, Darker, Stronger is a 13% Imperial Stout brewed in collaboration with the stout masters of NJ. We added tons of triple chocolate brownie batter, powdered coconut, and ‪coconut palm‬ sugar to the boil, then conditioned the beer on an obscene amount of coconut and Madagascar vanilla. The result is a hot fudge coconut brownie sundae in beer form.

27 January 2021 - Beer #224
Price: $16.00 at the brewery
Appearance: 4 - thicker? not really. Darker? Eh. Kinda dark, sorta thin.
Nose: 4 - a lot going on here, but nothing intense. Some chocolate, some vanilla, not much else that I could detect.
Taste: 4 - certainly flavorful. Sweeter? Yeah, quite sweet. Stronger? Doesn't taste like it, which is good. I don't really get much of the adjuncts at all.
Mouth: 5 - thicker? Absolutely. Quite thick and chewy.
Overall: 4 - cromulenter.
Cheers!

It pours pitch black, thick and viscous. Thin finger and a half mocha colored head dissipates about halfway before settling in for the long haul.
This thing smells like liquid fudge brownies. It just smacks you across the face immediately once its poured. There are noted of rich chocolate, liquid fudge, hints of vanilla and light cinnamon-y notes.
Taste follows the nose with strong roasted malts, liquid chocolate, hints of cinnamon, vanilla beans and some noticeable bitterness on the finish. As it warms you get more char notes coming through with a touch of herbal hops that come across almost minty when you get them in this flavor profile. I'll be honest, I didn't get any coconut in this and it wasn't until I read the description that I realized it supposedly has coconut in it.
Feel is thick and syrupy, thicker than any beer I can think of off the top of my head. Moderate carbonation with a finish that coats your mouth.
Overall this is a monster of a beer that really lives up to its name. Quite well done and worth trying.

Reviewed five days after bottle release. Poured into a Kane pub glass. It pours a dark walnut with deep cola hues at the bottom of the glass and it has a large, creamy, medium khaki-colored head and thick, creamy lacing. It smells just like a brownie: cocoa, vanilla, coconut, and whiffs of earthy char and tobacco. It's incredibly decadent with rich cocoa , buttery brownie batter, coconut and hints of vanilla. At first, the sweetness seems overpowering but it is quickly balanced by burnt nuts, unsweetened chocolate, and earthy char. As the Stout settles in the glass, the flavors become more blended, seamless, and enjoyable. The mouth feel is terrific: thick and chewy with mild carbonation, and the 13% ABV is not overpowering or distracting. It's most definitely a dessert sipper and would pair perfectly with vanilla ice cream and biscotti. What's interesting is that you can discern the work of both brewers. Magnify often brews huge, sweet pastry stouts but they are sometimes uneven. Kane has totally nailed the style and contributes finesse. It's a fine Imperial Stout.
