I haven't been Magnify as much in recent years since I started to patronize breweries who took a bit more risk, but when I saw this for sale last year (yes, I'm behind), I had to give it a go. Love my Fruited Kettle Sour-Milkshake-Smoothie-Lactose IPA beers, or whatever this is, no matter how this should be categorized. Even if it wasn't quite like anything I've ever had before, there was enough to enjoy here as this was smooth, sweet, and easily worth obtaining!
Lots to like here, from the moment I poured this. The look of this beer was a milky goldenrod with a small amount of full, offsetting white head. Once that settled, the lacing left behind was in the form of frosting over most of my pint glass with sudsy hints of rings in the middle. Lots of lactose, milk and ice cream in the subdued nose as the taste was much more full of sugar and cream. 0vertly sweet, full-bodied, and slightly sticky, this reminded me of something I'd have down the shore in the summer, without it melting all over. Yes, the ice cream and frozen custard was in full effect here as the end result was a brew worthy of a summer night on a Jersey shore boardwalk.
That probably wasn't what Magnify intended, although this turned out to be a brew worthy of the Garden State. No date was on the bottom of the can but besides that, there wasn't much to dislike about this beer. I hope to see this again in future years, as it would be a nice complement to Easter. Give it a go if you can get your hands on it!

Why is this a fruited kettle sour? Last I checked, lactose, vanilla ice cream and marshmallow are not fruit. Not at all sour, tastes like carbonated cereal milk. Looks like straight up jizz.
