Poured from 330mL can into my Belvárosi Sör Fesztivál tulip. Best by 8/15/25.
Appearance: dark orange hue with a thinnish layer of frothy ivory foam.
Smell: slightly sweet, slightly tart, slightly jammy passionfriut with a lightly grainy malt going on. Strangely enough this reminds me of a fig newton more than anything else. It’s not bad!
Taste: kind of like the aroma, but with a little bit of bitterness from the hops. I don’t taste the vanilla directly, which I consider a good thing, but I think it adds to the jamminess of the fruit maybe. Weird beer, but I like it.
Mouthfeel: medium-light body with a moderate carbonation, though it’s not super creamy.
Overall: this is a strange one! Somewhere between a light pale ale, a fruited kettle sour, and a milkshake IPA. That being said, I like it. Of the super fruity beers, this one is pretty restrained on sweetness, and that makes it a nice refreshing quaff.
