Picked up a couple cans of this at Systembolaget in central Stockholm.

We poured the can into a couple low small wine glasses. The appearance is a light golden color with a thin white head. Its` nose contains lemon, grape, malts and grains. Not bad so far. Sipping on this and I taste lemon, malts, some pine. An alright summer pale lager. Mouthfeel was very low-key with medium carbonation. All in all, nothing very remarkable, but a decent option to go grab and certainly convenient for camping, boating, etc.

A: Clear golden pour with a medium tall but very airy and uneven white head. Faint lacings.

S: Rich American hops, floral but even more bitter. Pine and citrus. Some sweet malt in the back.

T: Dry hops at first, followed by all the tropical fruits from the floral; grapefruit, pineapple and lemon sezt. Semi-sweet malt is overpowered by the bitter hops.

M: Long and bonedry bitter aftertaste. Thin body and mild carbonation.

O: Not as boring as I anticipated, but rather interesting; the rich hop is what this beer is all about.

The brew is pale straw colored, small bubbles, a fluffy white head that leaves much lacing. Small curtains.

Freshly squeezed lime, newly cut grass a metallic hint.

Surprisingly little sweet, some white bread, very bitter and somewhat acid. Lemon peel and bitter apple seeds.

Little carbonation, rather watery and thin, a long dry finish though.

They have not been shy on the hops, that's good, possibly a bit too little ABV and malt body to balance the bitterness though. But rather refreshing.

The colour is pale gold (7 EBC), the liquid clear. The two finger head is white, it sinks slowly leaving some nice lacing.

The smell is loaded with American hops: Grapefruit, lemon, orange peel. Hints of honey essence, pine needles and a touch of pulp.

The taste is first bitter with crisp notes of grapefruit juice, bitter oranges and pine woods. It is quite dry. Some malty notes emerges with a hint of pulp that I recall from other Spendrups beers, but it is lighter than expected. The aftertaste is a bit one-handed with the hoppy piney bitterness and a slowly growing smooth sweet flavour. Honey in the finish.

The carbonation is strong like it should in a lager, the bubbles small and fresh. The liquid is light and a bit dry.

My prejudices said to me “this is going to be just another bland watery beer”. Although the body is on the lighter side, this is a quite cheap summer lager at 4.5 %, it is in fact quite a pleasant and hoppy beer. High drinkability.

OK, I will probably get whipped for this but keep in mind I'm no hope lover!

This beer was available on tap at local pub that often have Spendrup's beer on tap before it hit's the shelves.

It was serves ice cold in tulip shaped glass, lot's of hope aroma when sniffing it before the first sip. Pours clear golden color, firm foam.

Hope lovers will probably like this but for me the taste was on the border of perfume, long after taste, the bitterness lingers in the mouth for a fairly long time and leaves a dry feeling in the mouth.

Like the funky 70:s style logo though!
