From the taproom in Placentia, pour a purplish head that is dark muddy water notes with reddish note. The beer is fairly dark and is opaque. Some carbonation bubble do exist on the sides of the glass. Overall an interest appearance, it is appealing.
Roasty toasty malt notes, berries ( could not really tell you if that is what marionberries smell like), caramel, wood, vanilla, esters, a hint of chocolate, and a hint of coffee.
Really big fruity berry note, toasted malt, wood, subtle chocolate, subtle espresso, a medium sour note, esters, and touch of yeast.
Medium light body, medium carbonation, dry finish from tartness in the beer.
The beer was akin to unsweeten Rosé but sour beer form. The beer has medium funky note, medium sour note, huge berry notes, I really enjoyed this beer I could drink this again. Fruit is more forward with this beer than the sour notes; nonetheless, this beer is very good.

2017 Vintage. Growler filled the day of sampling.
Appearance: Clear brilliant purple color with brown undertones. The beer has a generous-sized purple head that dissipated fairly quickly. Very appealing appearance.
Smell: The marionberries feature prominently, but i also get a touch of mild tobacco, and mild oak notes.
Taste: Tart marionberries, mild hay notes, mild funk, mild oak notes, and very mild acetic notes. The beer is fairly sour but finishes dry.
Mouth-feel: Body is on the lighter side of medium with a generous level of carbonation.
Overall: The Oude Tart fruited variants are all tasty to me but the fruit (marionberries) dominate the base beer. A good fruited wild ale but if you like Oude Tart you'll find it's taste profile pretty much covered up. Still a very tasty beer.
