Pours a clear dark cranberry color with two-plus fingers of similarly-tinted sand-colored head. Decent retention and rocky dissipation.
Clear currants in the aroma, coupled with lighter wood, must and funk. Maybe a ghost of red wine.
Red wine and a little cherry sweetness flash first in the taste, quickly replaced by some more tart, astringent currant and a fairly strong mustiness, cheesy funk and wood.
Medium bodied with very soft carbonation.
The look, feel and smell of this are lovely. The funkiness and wood clashes with the fruit flavors to my taste.
