Clear light amber appearance .
Around medium carbonation with a close to medium body.
Aroma is a really nice mix of cereal, grain, yeast, malt, crusty bread with some floral earthiness.
Taste is very similar to aroma with there being a slightly dry hop bite and finish that lingers a long time.
Another great beer from a great brewery

Canned 2024/02/27
Pours a fizzy bubbly 1 finger head with moderate retention, crystal clear pale straw color
Nose rich grainy-sweet malt, straw, a bit of doughy bready like, rich potentially layered decoction malt depth, faint floral hope, generally malt forward as it should be
Taste more grainy-sweet malt leading the way, some straw, doughy bready malt, a touch of a raw bread dough, again possibly decoction malt layered depth but not convinced, maybe single decoction, light herbal floral hop flavor with med-light bitterness, then getting more towards med bitterness and a bit spicy on the dry semi crisp finish
Mouth is med bod, soft lager feel, med to lighter carb
Overall a nice Helles, not quite the Weihenstephaner level but still solid, maybe some more decoction layers would help, or possibly the source of the malt as well, but still enjoyable

Appearance: Pours an essentially clear, hay-hued body with a medium-sized, sudsy, white head.
Smell: Grainy, a bit bready and with a restrained cereal sweetness about it. Very minor spicy hop character. Little sniff of sulphur.
Taste: A bit sweet, a bit grainy, an overall solid pils malt character. Merely a modest showing of hops yielding a little, light spiciness and bitterness. Faint showing of sulphur. It's grainy-malty quality is sustained through the drying finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Overall: A decent helles.

Yep, I’m into it. Lower ratings than I would have thought, but Raul don’t care. This one is rock solid like that place in Scotland (or is it Ireland?) that has wild stone faces scattered about. Stone Hedge. Yeah, see? Raul went to school. He don’t need google. Anyway, this one is just right down the line like John Wayne lassoing a cow in “Red River.”

Traded for this a while ago as the date on the bottom of the can read 3/26/18. Yeah, I took a while to get around to this but this held up well over the last year and a half and was a good example of what a German Helles should be. This was perfect for a freakishly warm night such as the one that we're having here in late September!
Of course, this had a clear and golden hue to it that was quite radiant when held up to the light. Plenty of bubbly head topped it off but it settled unevenly and there wasn't any lacing left on the side of my pint glass as I worked my way through this. Lots of bread, German hops, sulfur, urine, and sweetness in the nose as the taste contained cereal and some grainy spice that gave this a taste that one would expect from a beer of this sort. Plenty of carbonation, moderate slickness, and an underlying skunky aftertaste rounded things out as this beer fully warmed up.
Not a lot of booze here as this was so easy to drink and savor, because of how it tasted and how different it was different from what I was accustomed to. This has BATCH #00245 written on the side of the can and the colorful label was in line with how full this beer was. While this may not be a cup of tea for a hard-core imbiber, this deserved it's ranking on here and was good enough to have me looking for more examples of this style - if they could be readily found...
