Collaboration with Omnipollo
Amun (aka the hidden one) is a collaboration with our dear friends Omnipollo. Amun was dreamt up by Henok of Omnipollo and our head brewer Matt. They then brewed the first batch in Sweden. This is the US version of this awesome collab. Amun is an 8% DIPA brewed with a bunch of oat milk. Hopped intensely with Citra, Mosaic, and Nelson. This beer is insanely soft. One of the most drinkable DIPAs we've ever been a part of. The artwork from @karlgrandin is just insane too!

The beer itself is a hazy and opaque yellow-orange. The smell has slight oat notes and tropical citrus note. The taste has a stronger citrus note and the oat gives it a sweet and slightly milky note. The feel has a nice medium and creamy body.

16oz can poured into a tulip
A- pours a hazy golden-yellow color with a one-finger foamy white head that has decent retention
S- hop aromas are more subdued that their typical DIPA, but still complex; citrus find, herbaceous mosaic, cantaloupe, mango
T- balanced tropical hop notes up front of melon, mango and passionfruit, followed by some pithy citrus notes & earthy herbal hops. The finish drops off a bit, leaving a semi-dry linger of citrus
M- medium body with moderate carbonation leads to a creamy mouthfeel that continue into the finish
O- everything seems to held in check, while not losing the hop character, super drinkable

L: Had this beer on-tap at The Veil's taproom, poured into a snifter glass. Had a golden yellow color and a very cloudy consistency. There was a 3/4", foamy, somewhat long-lasting head. Good lacing.
S: A very good aroma of hops, citrus fruit, tropical fruit, and malt.
T: Tasted of a bit of malt (not too much), lots of tropical fruit (pineapple, mango), a fair amount of hops (not overdone), and a ton of citrus fruit (orange, in particular). This flavor is closer in spirit to that of a NE IPA than a DIPA, but it works. It's sweet and fruity, with just enough hops to make things interesting. Quite delicious.
S: A decent amount of carbonation with a smooth, creamy finish. Medium-bodied.
O: A well crafted DIPA. Drinkable.

L: super hazy with a bunch of white head that lasted awhile
S: hops citrus lemon and a hint of grass. Not very strong
T: hops, lemon, grapefruit and some malt on the finish.
F: excellent feel here. Super smooth, almost creamy, most likely the oat milk. Also very thick for a DIPA, which I love.
O: the look and smell are fine. The taste is very good and the feel is excellent. Would definitely like another.

Bright golden, medium white head and good lacing. Aromas of fruit and hops. Notes of orange, mango, pineapple, and cream of wheat. Soft, really soft, even softer, full body and crushable. Fruit forward, very drinkable, fantastic DIPA.

16 oz can, fresh from the brewery, just getting around to writing a review. Poured into a stemmed, wine glass. Orange hue, hazy color, nice white carbonation. It has that distinct Veil taste, strong citrus fruit aroma, and taste. Easily crushable beer at the abv.

Appear: light straw color gold haze but also one of the lightest Veil brews I've even seen. head was bigger bubbles didn't last. there is a nice amount of carbonation tho moving around in this beer.
Nose: nice citrus tropical fruits. mango guava. THere is also a doughy yeasty tone that reminds me of a yeasty tripel note.
Taste: its not big flavors. mainly citra flavors. citrus peel maybe a little mango and pineapple. little hop pine bit but you really have to think about it because its so smooth for the most part.
Mouth: really sliky and smooth. light mouthfeel. not creamy really maybe a little but in the sense that skim milk is creamy. Skim milk might actually be a good comparison for how this feels. Carbonated skim milk. no hint of 8% abv.
Over: This is an average Veil beer which is to say it's pretty damn good. I don't find that the oat milk really adds anything to the party. I think the nose and taste on this beer have really kind of faded. I wish I had reviewed one of the first cans I had about a month ago I think I would've bummed it up some. Not that this can is bad but if you got em drink ASAP.
