Farmhouse Pale Ale. This is a super rad beer. We fermented Benjelz with a blend of French and Belgian yeasts. We then added Citra Pure Leaf in the boil. Pure Leaf is the bi-product of Lupulin Powder. So basically it's the hop leaf without the Lupulin. Low in alpha acids and still packed with incredible floral/earthy notes and bright citrus character. We then put a healthy amount of the freshest Galaxy hops we could find in it. The best way to describe it is kind of like a hoppy saison. Crisp, refreshing, and just enough hops make it approachable to non-hop lovers while still enjoyable for the grand supreme hop dragonz too.

16 fl. oz. can "MGD ON 02/05/2024" and sampled on 12/27/2024
$4.50 @
Notes via stream of consciousness: Ahhh, damn, it looks like this can is a bit too old. It didn't erupt when I cracked it open but it gave me a fifth of clear beer beneath four fifths of head when I poured it. Of course saison should be highly carbonated so maybe I'm wrong. It's a hazy golden in collor beneath a bright white head. It's spicy, peppery, and fruity in the nose. The taste follows along with some sweetish and wheaty malt. There's some pleasant lemony citrus to it, a lot of apple as well, and some resinous notes. It's firmly bitter and finishes dry, bitter, citrusy, and somewhat peppery. In the mouth it's medium bodied on the lower end and crisp. I also think I'm wrong about the age on this now as it doesn't taste particularly old and the carbonation calmed down immediately. This has everything you want in a saison and more. Nicely done.
