Sleeping Forever - Coconut

The beer pours a nice brown head that dissipates at a moderate pace. The beer itself is a delicious dark chocolate black with a good texture to it. The smell and taste have fairly strong coconut meat notes. The smell covers the chocolate and bourbon notes to the point where it dominates them. It's pretty meaty. The coconut meat note is most noticeably strong in the taste and covers the other notes rather well. The chocolate and the bourbon are not very prominent and come out more in the finish. (After aging it a little bit, the bourbon comes out fantastically and blends well with the coconut.) The feel is pretty good. It has a heavy body and a creamy feel to it. Overall, a pretty good beer but seems to need some time for the coconut to mellow a little bit.
