Lord Whangdoodle is our imperial Chocolate Milk Stout blend aged in maple bourbon, honey bourbon, and bourbon barrels for over a year then conditioned on vanilla and cinnamon. A truly unique imperial Stout, very decadent and complex. Sappy sticky sugary sweetness, decadent chocolates filled with liqueur, baklava, ever so subtle candied orange peel. Perfectly balanced by the toffee finish of the amazing Whangdoodle base beer. Honey is very apparent, blends very well with the maple and bourbon. Cinnamon baking spices and vanilla add more balance and complexity. Great holiday beer and standout of the Whangdoodle variants.

The beer pours a light brown foamy head that dissipates quickly. The beer itself has a good black coffee color to it with a nice syrup like texture. The smell has a strong mix of honey and cinnamon up front. However, the dark chocolate seems to be the note that all the others revolve around. The syrup's complements the chocolate's bitterness before the smell finishes with a bourbon note even though the maple syrup note sometimes gets covered by the honey notes. The taste is similar but sweeter. The cinnamon is much stronger than the honey notes but the honey (mixed with the maple syrup) lasts longer and doesn't get lost in the dark chocolate and bourbon notes. The feel is good with a heavy body alongside a silky and syrupy texture and slightly sticky finish. Overall, this is another delicious and indulgent beer worth getting.

This one pours a light looking glossy black color, with no head or lacing.
This smells like sticky and drippy honey, chocolate syrup, cinnamon, licorice, maple, and bourbon.
This is exceptionally sweet. Veil stouts are usually pretty sweet, so I'm not super surprised. The lack of carbonation seems to make the sweetness sit a little heavier on the palate. Despite that complaint, the flavors here are definitely quite nice, with lots of sticky sweet honey - those barrels come through the strongest for sure. There's a bit of maple in the background, with the cinnamon providing really the only non-sweet balancing flavor here. It's not enough, though. Vanilla cake frosting subtly runs throughout the beer.
This is not quite as thick as most Veil stouts - I might be perceiving it that way because of the nearly still body here. There's no booziness at all, which is nice.
I was a touch disappointed with this. It was still very tasty, but the lack of carbonation and heavy sweetness set it back a little bit.
