Aged over a year in Muscatel barrels that were used to finish rye whiskey, then conditioned on hundreds of pounds of cocoa nibs.

The appearance has a nice dark brown head and a dark chocolate black with a syrupy texture to it.
The smell has a fairly strong alcohol note along with bits of rye whiskey and sweet baker’s chocolate with a bit of spices such as cinnamon. The muscadet note is pretty strong and is a pretty sweet grape.
The taste is just wow. The rye whiskey comes out fairly well but doesn’t dominate the taste on the beginning. The muscadet note comes out more in the finish. The bakers chocolate is present through the whole thing and ties it together really well.
The body is heavy but syrupy with a dry and sticky finish. Overall a really good beer and variation with a beer that is indulgent and delicious notes.

This one is much more unique that some of the others, as whiskey collides with cacao, yet both quickly take a backseat to an unusual character that is kind of like burnt grape. It's still chocolaty and thick but notes of port and sherry bring some heat and sort of emulate a PB&J character. It's unique, but a little too odd for me.
