The beer is a delicious dark chocolate black with a dark brown head and syrup texture. The smell has a moderate maple syrup note with light spices added to it. There is a slight booze note along with some bitter chocolate and a slight roast in the finish. The taste has similar notes and intensity. The main difference is that the spice notes are bit stronger. The chocolate also comes out a bit more. The feel is good. The texture is thick and resembles melted chocolate with a heavy body and little carbonation and a sticky finish.

Bottle dated February 22 2019 poured into a tulip. Came out like used pitch black motor oil leaving a capped brown head after a 15 seconds, but it dissipated quickly! Smelled like roast, maple, and subtle bourbon but rich! Taste is roast, slight barrel, candied sugar, and dark fruit! Feel is thick and viscous as expected! Overall a 4.5 is a perfect score IMO. Cheers!
