Bottled January 2019 - given out as part of Forever Summer 2019. Held in wine fridge from then until now. Poured into Aslin Anniversary glass (yeah yeah, I know).
L: 1.5F fizzy pink/purplish head with little retention. No lacing, but a decent cap and ring. Beer is a deep plum color, pretty attractive.
S: Very oaky, sour blueberry, yeasty and musty.
T: Tart blueberry, yeasty, lots of wood notes.
F: Light to medium-bodied, moderately carbonated, good construction and pretty good balance. It is a bit oaky, but not as much as the nose would indicate. Crisp, drinks easily.
O: Phenomenally good lambic effort from the Veil team. A pleasure to drink and worth waiting for.

The beer pours as bubbly and foamy purple reddish head that dissipates quickly. The beer itself is a very good looking purple ruby color that looks absolutely beautiful and appears very much like a red wine.
The smell is good. It has a nose wooden note with some light tannin as well. The wood notes are a bit dominant but a sweet blueberry note with a slight stronger and bitter funk note.
The taste is pretty good. It borders a bit closer to a red wine with wood notes and a bit of tannin. The blueberry note comes out in the finish after a tart and moderate funk note thath's pretty good.
The feel is good. It has a smooth body with a bit of acidity to it and light carbonation.
Overall, this was a fantastic beer and worth getting at the anniversary. I definitely recommend trying this one if you can get your hands on it.
