Dark chocolate, black hole looking beer. Little to no head. Adjuncts sat at the top momentarily. Exactly how I want a dessert stout to look.

Heavy chocolate and vanilla smell. Not overpowering. Had a hint of booziness but very sweet smelling.

First few sips were solid. Like most stouts the beer got better as it warmed slightly. However, it became a bit cumbersome by the end. Lots of chocolate throughout with hints of oak and vanilla.

It was a thick beer but not syrupy. It doesn't linger too long which is good to me.

A strong barrel aged beer that certainly looks the part, it lacks some depth that you would hope the barrel aging would provide but I enjoyed it. Worth the sticker price.

The beer pours almost no head even if it is a hard pour. When some head does develop, it is a deep and dark brown color that looks absolutely indulgent. The beer itself is a deep and dark chocolate brown that comes off as a luscious black color. It also betrays a fairly thick and heavy texture to it.

The smell is absolutely delicious, indulgent, and a bit overwhelming. The first notes are a strong cocoa and sweet milk chocolate with a little bit of lactose in the finish. There is also a slight burn to it.

The taste is very good and strongly resembles a fudge brownie. The strongest notes upfront consist of a bitter and powdery cocoa note along side a light sweet milk chocolate note. A moderate bourbon comes in the middles and finishes out the beer where it lingers in the finish.

The feel is good. It's a creamy and heavy bodied beer with no carbonation at all.

Overall, this is a fantastic beer worth getting because of how indulgent it is.
