Chill Bday is a beer that was originally planned for our fourth anniversary week celebration. It’s a double dry-hopped DIPA brewed with Citra, Galaxy, Enigma, Mosaic, Motueka, El Dorado, Simcoe, Wakatu, and Nelson! Sort of a mash-up of Supernatural Creature and Mega Beast Freak(brewed for our 3rd anniversary), then we hit it with that Enhanced treatment. Double creamy hop flavors of exotic tropical fruit with a hint of fresh citrus.

10 oz draft pour at Frisco Taphouse in Gambrills, MD. Pours a hazy light yellow/orange color with a medium head. Aroma and flavor feature citrus, ripe tropical fruit, and a moderate wheaty backbone. Overall a solid if unremarkable NEIPA.

16 oz can poured into a tulip glass. No legible date stamp on the can, but Veil beers move off the shelves quick.
Hazy golden murk look, two fingers fine white head, full curtain lacing and surface head. Yeast nuggets in the can, not the glass after a normal pour.
Strong mango and orange aromas in the glass.
Mango, papaya, grapefruit, pale malt flavors.
Full smooth mouthfeel. On the sweet side, but it works. No alcohol heat.
The hop agglomeration absolutely works.

Dated 04/15/25, into a wide wine glass.
Pours a murky orange with plenty of foam, rather dark but appealing. Aroma is mango and papaya with a little orange juice. Flavor is nice. There's a lot of malt presence and a light grassiness alongside the ample mango and orange. There's a little stone fruit character as well. There's a good smoothness on the flavors as well, nothing is too sweet or weirdly sugary, and I enjoy the creaminess overall. Feel is great, body is lower for such a high ABV, and the aforementioned creaminess is really good. It's very thick and chewy which helps the fruity but not sweet hop flavors. Finish is mildly bitter.
Overall, great stuff from The Veil. Hyper drinkable and easy to enjoy, which is hard to find in a DIPA.

poured from a 16oz can into a narrow gauge stemless wine glass. pours a hazy orange with two fingers of white foam head. tropical fruits, citrus and grass on the nose. has some dank and pine qualities to it as well. taste is similar but more grassy. full mouthfeel. this was excellent. doesn’t drink like 8%. even as it warms there’s some alcohol to it but lots of tropical fruit as well. delicious.

Presentation: 16 oz. can with the canning date printed on the bottom. Served in a tulip-shaped tumbler.
Appearance: The rocky, two finger head stays around for a while and leaves behind some lacing in thin webs. It's a murky, straw color.
Smell: It's a very fruity aroma of papaya, mango and zesty citrus peel.
Taste: It's juicy and fruity with papaya and pineapple up front followed by a slight citrus acidity of orange and grapefruit. It finishes with a strong, refined white sugar sweetness that lingers for a while.
Mouthfeel: It's pillowy and moderately smooth but with some medium carbonation crispness still. There's a slight chalky roughness in the aftertaste too.
Overall: The strong sweetness starts getting tiring after a while but it doesn't make it a bad beer by any stretch. It's still a delicious, juicy treat; just better if enjoyed in smaller doses.

It is pure cotton candy, tangerines and vanilla beans. Sweet, but still refreshing. Almost a crazy-hopped up Belgian white because you get some spicy, fruity vibes from the yeast. Even at 8% ABV, I could CRUSH these. Insanely well balanced. This beer is flat out dangerous.

16 oz. can dated 4/26/20.
L: 1F white fluffy head, with spotty lacing and a thin ring, not much retention Beer is a turbid orange.
S: As you might expect, a fruity, dank mash-up of citrus and earthy notes. When nine different hops you throw in, variety do you get. Most prominent for me are grapefruit, orange, lime, and mango up front, with earth, pine, and grass on the back end.
T: Delightful melange of citrus and tropical fruits up front, pretty well-combined and rounded. Citrus a bit more dominant than tropical. Back end is piney and earthy, with lots of hop resin, but not overly bitter.
F: Medium body, moderate carbonation. Drinks well, amalgamation of all these hops is impressively done and the balance is good.
O: This could have been a disaster and instead ends up as a very solid DIPA. I have a feeling it needs to be drunk fresh to get the best experience so I am going to finish this 4-pack post haste. The things I do...
