03/13/26. Poured into a Samuel Adams Perfect Pint.

A: Hazy Arnold Palmer hue with 1-2 finger frothy white head with good retention and mild lacing.

S: Strong aroma with pineapple, white grapefruit, guava, tangerine, and green melon with undercurrent of honeysuckle and herbal green notes. Esters are very low and are fruity.

T: Flavor is excellent with bursts of guava, pineapple, tangerine, white grapefruit, and green grape with The Veil’s signature strong herbal, polyphenol green notes. Esters are low and fruit gum. I think more esters might help this beer with a bit more sweetness.

M: Gritty polyphenol with medium body and medium finish.

O: Merciless Merciless from The Veil is a very good and hard-hitting hazy DIPA.

16oz can. Big stamp on can bottom is '02/13/23'.
Hazy, deep gold colored body. Two fingers of white head reduces to interrupted island remnants and ring. Leaves a 25% partial web lacing.
Aroma of orange.
Taste is energized hops, with flavors of melon, orange, and coconut.
Medium mouth feel, with supportive body. No bitterness. Very good carbonation.
Simple, organized, and effective.

Can. White head with lace. Very hazy golden orange sunset.

Juicy, tropical, dank. Mango, papaya, orange, melon, honeydew. Earthy, floral, and some dank weedy notes. A bit of resin.I don’t drink a lot of veil but glad to see some distro to MN. This is solid.

Canned 2/13/23 (1 month ago)

Appearance: Pours a completely hazy and opaque (5% clarity) medium to deep orange color with a large white head. SRM of 9. (4.25)

Aroma: Strong aromas of smooth orange, creamy pineapple, some hints of tropical mango. Creamy oat malt aromas. (4.00)

Flavor: Strong flavors of orange creamsicle, smooth pineapple, some creamy melon underneath. Orange Skittles sweetness follows A soft and smooth oat malt flavor on the finish. Juicy, but ultimately creamy and smooth. Mildly sweet. (4.25)

Feel: Medium-bodied, strong carbonation. Soft and smooth. Creamy, yet clean. (4.25)

Compared to The Veil Mountain³ 3/15/2023: Pours darker, similar head. Stronger aromas. More orange creamsicle and mango. Less grapefruit, passionfruit, floral and vinous grape flavors

Compared to Equilibrium Energy Equals 3/2023: Pours hazier, stronger head. Stronger aromas. More orange, papaya, mango. Less orange and lemon citrus and oat malt body.

Compared to Toppling Goliath Electric Dino Boogie 4/2023: Pours lighter, hazier. More oats on the aroma. More sweet orange, papaya, and orange skittles. Less cantaloupe melon, peach and flower. Heavier and creamier, but similar flavors.

Compared to Equilibrium Southern Lights 4/2023: Pours lighter and hazier, milder head. Milder aromas. More sweet orange citrus, cantaloupe melon. Less sweet mango and rich lemon flavor. Sweeter.

Overall: Very nicely done and impressive. Strong orange citrus, papaya, pineapple with some tropical melon. Evolves into an orange Skittle sweetness which is wonderful. Strong creamy oat malt body. Leans slightly sweet, but not overly done. Excellent NEIPA here. (Rating: 4.09)
Edit: Definitely falls off quickly with age.
