I Remember My First Check-In is a Sour Ale brewed with local Virginia 2-Row barley and a good portion of wheat, then conditioned on DOUBLE the fresh local blackberries and DOUBLE the fresh local raspberries from our friends at Agriberry Farm. This beer is part of large collaboration project put together by our friends at Dogfish Head and Untappd to celebrate Untappd’s 10th Anniversary. The project also aims to celebrate the entire craft beer ecosystem including the farmers, brewers, hospitality workers, as well as the consumers. Cheers to that! Refreshing flavors of real fruit pops and raspberry dole whip.

The beer pours a nice off-white head with reddish purple notes while the beer itself is a deep purplish raspberry red. It is also opaque and cloudy.
The smell is good. It has a strong sweet and tart raspberry note upfront with a slight funk note to it. There is some light honey from the wheat but the nose is dominated by the two fruits.
The taste is very similar to the taste. It has a moderate funk note that is largely hidden by the raspberry tart note, which is immediately followed by a sweeter blackberry note.
The feel is good. It has a light body with a thickness to and a biting, tingling carbonation to it. It has a moderate acidity to it.
Overall, a delicious beer worth having.

Tart berries throughout, with a slightly puckering finish. Great fruity flavor, and very soft considering no lactose was added. Cheers!
