Pours a super duper jet black with tan head. Chocolate and vanilla on the nose. It's super sweet and the amount I got is about as much as I could take. Not super apple brandy forward, but it provides a mellow sweetness. There's layers of chocolate, coffee, and vanilla. Unfortunately, I don't get much coconut at all. I did enjoy what I had though.

Bottled March 2021, this pours as back as spent motor oil with a small dark brown head the made fizzing sounds and faded very quickly, leaving basically zero lacing but some sediment along the glass. There were chunks of yeast or malt floating throughout the brew.

The aroma was mostly toffee, caramel, syrup, molasses, dark chocolate, rich malty notes, vanilla and brandy, but it had moments with bourbon and chocolate syrup as well as a caramel apple. This write-up seems like the nose was one dimensional, but it was very complex and extremely interesting to inhale.

Tastes just like it smells with that additions of smoked malts, vanilla extract, dark rum, lots of chocolate like bakers chocolate and cocoa powder, burnt coffee grinds, a dash of brown sugar and brownie batter that has some CBD oil or weed like hops in it. This was sweeter than expected but not cloyingly sweet, plus the alcohol was tamer than advertised since it did not feel like 12-13% ABV, and the only real disappointment was that there was no coconut to be found; it may be listed on the label but the coconut didn’t show up to the party in my bottle. Still and excellent beer, even with no coconut present.

Mouthfeel was spot on: thick and on the chewy side with a heavy feel, light bitterness, mild carbonation, no sign of the ABV. The malts are balanced by the hops in the background, the barrel accents and the spirits that developed in those barrels. An outstanding stout blend, this was delicious and easy to consume.

The beer pours some light dark brown head that dissipates very quickly. The beer itself is a pitch black color with an opaque and thick texture.

The smell is pretty good. It has a moderate apple brandy note come out upfront but isn't overly powerful. Rather, it blends well with a bitter dark chocolate and cocoa note alongside a sweet caramel smell that includes a mature bourbon in the finish. The wheat makes its presence know through the thing but it is easy to miss.

The taste is really good and surprisingly somewhat different from the smell. The strongest notes is the dark chocolate and sweeter cocoa note mixed with the soft apple brandy note. The coconut is well hidden but comes out a bit when it warms up a little bit. The coconut that comes out are a bit toasted and a bit sweet.

The feel is really good. It has a heavy body and a creamy texture to it that feels really nice. The carbonation is surprisingly tingly all the way to the finish.

Overall, this is a fantastic beer with very delicious notes even though the coconut is hidden.
