Obsidian black, but with minimal head, quickly receding to a fine, thin chain that has a few unevenly sloping ridges.
The "double vanilla" is very Tahitian, as in super floral, which I typically have an aversion to, but here I fairly thoroughly enjoy. This is paired with a sort of apple fritter quality that competes for the stage, including a touch of deep fried characteristics, making for a decadent combination that is as if heavily dipped in crème anglaise.
It's thick but not gloppy, and just crazy for a dark beer to primarily feature the other characteristics I describe, but any chocolatey and caramelly notes definitely take a backseat to this donut shop bomb.
