For this Freaky Friday we decided to brew a collaboration that we were not originally a part of. So Other Half set us up with all the fixin’s for Fully Loaded Baked Potato, an Imperial India Pale Ale brewed originally as a collaboration between OH, Monkish, and Trillium. Brewed with gobs of oats and wheat then hopped at a 3x quantity with Mosaic, Galaxy, Kohatu and Sultana hops. Super saturated citrus juice, cream, and tropical fruit.

Canned on 10/28/21; consumed on 11/21/21

Pours an opaque, golden egg yolk-orange body capped with multiple fingers of fluffy, white foam; great head retention leaves ¾ of a finger of near-creamy cap, large, soapy collar, and a moderate spread of webby/spotty lacing across the walls of the glass.

Aroma opens to white grape must intertwined with orange zest as slick resins spiked with wet moss undertones engage an apricot jam semi-sweetness, while a touch of flaky malts/ oats round out the closing impressions.

Taste brings dank orange zest into white grape Hi-C, with apricot resins and a mossy interlude over the mid-palate giving way to hints of oats leveling the profile as a mango nectar character washes over the back end.

Mouthfeel features a medium-full body sporting fluffy, rounded carbonation before dispersing a level hop twang into juicy resins grazing over the mid-palate; distant prickles of bitterness lead into a soft warming on the back end, in turn bringing a bright finish with minimal booziness.

A scattered profile layered with intriguing subtext and fluffy textures to partially balance the boozy resins, this does well to remain palatable despite its mostly untamed intensities; a defter, juicier kind of NETIPA.
