Had on tap at the brewery.
On arrival a solid 1.5 finger bone white head with below average retention was present. Body is a super hazy deep gold.
Aroma is a bit strange, and verges on sour. A sourdough aroma is here woth some light cherry notes. A good bit of funk. I really wonder what yeast was used.
Flavor is more mild, but not your standard commercial saison. Decently malty with a crisp pale pils style malt leading the way. The fruity flavors are present and still reflect a tart cherry, bit the flavor isn't sour like the aroma suggests.
Feel is drinkable and very attenuated. Medium long malty finish, but crisp and fruity like a radler in the feel.
Overall, this isn't quite a saison, but they don't actually technically call it a saison but rather an "old-timey hazy, Belgian style farmhouse ale" which I can't say this isn't. Definitely and interesting beer, but without further introduction, it's hard to know who this beer is really targeted to.

I had this beer at the brewery poured from tap into a pint glass. Dark golden yellow color with good initial head and good lacing. Spicy, fruity smell and taste. Bready with an earthy bitterness at the finish. Nice beer with food.
