From 6 pack of cans bought at Toby's on Commercial, enjoyed from a stout glass. Pours a dark red, creamy head, both very pretty. Aroma: lemon? Taste is less bitter than most local IPAs and lingers. Plenty of carbonation, filling. My first ESB other than a few tasters, and very enjoyable.

On tap at the brewery, Vancouver.
Rich ruby with off white film. 3.75
Caramel and orange marmalade on the nose. 4
Solid toffee, lemon zest, flowers, and white pine. 4
Red pear end and drying linger.
Almost medium, slight stick. round. 4
The best OTR beer by a long shot: solid malts and the hops are just enough to stand out without being obtrusive. Might’ve fermented slightly high, too? Also a bit lean, but in style - that CAMRA pedigree shows through. 4
