On tap at camarillo taproom.
Yep, hazy. Nice fluffy head, solid curtain of lacing.
Taste and smell is a straight forward tropical ride: pineapple, guava, peach, and mild citrus notes. Also, a nice creamy sweetness throughout.
Good carbonation, fluffy mouthfeel.

Pours golden haze with faint white cap on draught in pint glass. Light strawberry, pineapple and grapefruit citrus on the nose in a gentle New England style IPA without too much bitterness make this an easy drinking refreshing IPA at 6.3% ABV.

Off the bat the aroma is amazing, tons of tropical sweet fruits and citrus notes. The taste is light and creamy with some gentle hop notes and a light malt backbone. Overall this is a great hazy IPA a beer that could turn someone to the hopside for sure. A great hazy for sure.

Poured from 12oz can into my Central Coast Brewers Guild glass. Canned 10/29/20.
Appearance: hazy medium-yellow hue with a thin layer of eggshell foam atop. It looks good, although a little more head would be nice.
Smell: earthy and tropical. You've got papaya, guava, mango and dirt in there ... my favorites!
Taste: like the aroma, this is earthy and tropical, and yet in a different way. I get coconut here, along with guava and even a tiny hint of pineapple. What an interesting beer! The bitterness is maybe a bit high for the style, but still, this is tasty.
Mouthfeel: medium-light body with an OK carbonation and creaminess. Texture is not this beer's strongest suit.
Overall: I am enjoying this beer. It's bitterness throws off the balance a bit, but mostly it's like a coconut-guava IPA and that is sufficiently unique that I would call this beer a win.

Can bought at Trader Joes in LA. Hazy IPAs are very trendy but something about this one reminded me of the originals on the east coast. I'll have to try more from Topa Topa.

Type: 12-oz. can
Reviewed as: New England IPA
Glass: Clear shaker pint glass
Price: $2.09
From: Trader Joe’s in Milpitas (Santa Barbara), Calif.
Purchased: Dec. 24, 2019
Consumed: Dec. 28, 2019
Misc.: Canned Nov. 22, 2019
Picked this up with a bunch of other stuff at a Trader Joe’s. This one was from Topa Topa, a brewery that has been just OK for me so far. This hazy IPA was described on the can as, “You’ve been hiking for hours through a dense fog. Your body is tired and sticky, but you push on toward your goal. Finally, you reach a clearing, the mis hits, and there sits your reward: an icy can of Spectro Hazy IPA. You sit and sip as you relish the mystery of the haze that swirls around you and in your can.” So basically jack shit for a description, except for tasting notes of pineapple, grapefruit and guava.
Poured a golden semi-hazy color with two fingers of frothy white head. No noticeable bubbles underneath the top. Below average watery lacing. Average retention. (Sight - 3.50)
Smelled stone fruit, orange juice, orange rind, Amarillo, melon and peach. (Smell - 3.50)
Taste was about as good as the nose. In order got stone fruit, orange rind, orange juice, Amarillo, peach and melon. (Taste - 3.50)
Medium body. Oily-to-thin texture. Average carbonation. Abrupt finish. (Feel - 3.75)
This was good overall, but nothing I would need to have again. (Overall - 3.50)
