I tried this at the brewery. It poured an opaque dark with white head that did not leave much lace. The scent had roast notes. The taste was nicely balanced with dark chocolate roast mix and bitter hop finish. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it was a great take on a hoppy black ale....nice job.
