Canned on 5/20/22; consumed on 7/22/22
Pours clear, deep golden body topped with multiple fingers of fluffy, soapy, eggshell-white foam; good head retention leaves a half-finger of cap, massive, frothy collar encircling the surface, and a healthy spatter of chunky, webby lacing draping down the walls of the glass.
Aroma opens to notes of wheat cracker wafting to light straw and an encroaching brown toast over the middle, leaving a mineralic underscore spread to slight grass lingering on the back end of the bouquet.
Taste finds white bread crust and straw upfront, leaving subtle lemon lingering to wet grass and a hint of jasmine over the mid-palate, while tinges of lager yeast and persistent straw undertones fade with the finish.
Mouthfeel brings a light body and a moderate-full carbonation, espousing crisp, nearly toasty, drying characteristics to a delicately bitter mid-palate, leaving subtle creaminess fading through the back end and to the finish.
A well-maintained bitterness harmonizes an ultimately clean approach to a soft, malt-forward pilsner layered in earthy hop influence; a seamless interplay in perpetually consumable form.
