Pours a pale straw colour, headless with visible bubbles. Artificial pineapple flavouring dominates the smell. The taste is also 80% pineapple 20% beer. I generally am a fan of Waterloo's radlers but this one does not top the list

Can: Poured a clear golden color ale with a large white foamy head with OK retention with some light lacing. Aroma of pineapple juice with some sweet notes. Taste is dominated by sweet pineapple juice notes with some light malt notes also perceptible. Body is about average with good carbonation. Doesn’t taste much like beer but refreshing during hot summer days.

473ml can served cold into a Wiesen glass.
Appearance- pale very clear straw colour with small tepid white head that evaporated almost instantly.
Smell- loads of fake pineapple smell or maybe it’s just pineapple juice but the nose is cloyingly sweet.
Taste- light and very sweet. Lots of pineapple flavour which is nice but not balanced and lacking bitterness. Hints of apple in there too.
Mouthfeel- light bodied modest carbonation and wet. Otherwise non descript.
Overall- way too sweet for a radler, what makes the best radlers work is the balance between juice and beer. Here the pineapple focus is first and second with the beer being an afterthought. Drinkable for beer drinkers who don’t like beer. Beyond the overwhelming sweetness it’s actually put together pretty well but lacks in refreshing qualities.

L: Transparent very pale yellow/beige
S: Delicious sweet candy pineapple smell
T: Similar to the smell, very sweet pineapple flavour with a hint of malt to sort of balance it out. Surprisingly similar flavour to apple cider. (Not surprising after reading the ingredients.) Has a subtle tartness and no bitterness.
F: Medium body and seltzer like carbonation.
O: Pretty much what I expected it to be. A bit too sweet and artificial tasting to be great. To be fair it would have been more enjoyable on a hot and sunny day.

Poured from a 16 oz. can. Has a golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is full of pineapple juice. Taste is the same as the aroma, but it's super sweet. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall it ain't bad, but as a diabetic, one of these is more than enough.

I've been mostly underwhelming by Waterloo's radler, but that said, this one is probably the best of the lot so far.
Very pale, slightly hazed brew. Gives up a surprising amount of lace. Good looking. Very fruity pineapple nose. Tasty enough, too, decent pineapple flavor. When the weather turns, this'll make a nice summer drink.

473 mL can from the LCBO; dated Jan 27 2020 and served slightly chilled.
Pours pale yellow, effervescent and just a little foggy; one finger of soapy white head floats atop, holding together for a couple of minutes. It is soon worn down to a generous collar and frothy cap which stick around for considerably longer... for a fruit beer, I'd say this looks rather good. The nose, on the other hand, consists of nothing but pineapple juice and sugar, as well as pineapple flavouring. It's not exactly offensive, but it doesn't come off as authentic, either.
Fortunately it tastes better than it smells, as the 'pineapple juice' aspects marginally outweigh those of the 'pineapple flavouring' IMO. Beyond that, there's not much else to say - there's a fair bit of sugary sweetness, as well as a touch of apple juice in the background, but the main theme is pineapple from start to finish. Sweet pineapple flesh and flavouring lingers briefly into the aftertaste. Light in body, with middling carbonation levels that impart a bit of spritz and crispness to this radler's mouthfeel. I don't usually find sugary beers to be all that refreshing, but this one is light enough that I could see it hitting the spot on a hot summer afternoon in the yard.
Final Grade: 3.33, a B-. Waterloo's Pineapple Radler isn't necessarily my cup of tea, but that doesn't mean I'd discourage others from trying it - indeed, if you're looking for something very light, a little sweet and laser-focused on pineapple, this might be just what the doctor ordered. The aroma was the low point for me, while the flavour profile itself was tolerable enough - perhaps even genuinely enjoyable under the right circumstances. I'd drink it again if I were in the mood.
