Crisp, clean lager with just a hint of tangerine on the flavor. Bready/crackery malt...a little bit of citrus bitterness on the finish...good beer. Plenty of body to this.
Nothing I'd be real excited to buy again but I certainly wouldn't turn one down if offered.

Really get the tangerines in the taste. Less on the nose. Nice pale lager.

Pours a crystal clear honey yellow with a thick white head that recedes rather quickly but leaves decent lacing. The aroma is corn, crackers and a touch of tangerine. Flavor is a little more tangerine than the nose. Feel is nice and crisp, well carbonated. Nice beer.

White head. Clear golden color.
Very lagery with some nice flavors. Earthy and a little citrusy. The tangerine peel shows a little. Bready/biscuity malts. Crisp, clean, light. Easy drinking.

This style isn't usually one I reach for but I love Schell's and this is part of their Peacock Pack that has the Dunkel, so...even if it isn't a winner, it will be worth it. Into a willibecher, bright orange-gold with a 3 finger puffy head that recedes fairly quickly, leaving great lacing on the glass. Nose has some light but substantial bready notes, and a little herbal citrus, clean but kind of faint. Nice lager yeast notes, too. The taste follows, but it all kind of adds up, harmonizes, and hits the tongue in a way that improves on the nose. I see that they're using the Mandarina Bavaria hops, and of the number of beers featuring that hop, this strikes me as one of the more successful in terms of how they've managed to blend the flavor notes with just the right kind of bready malt. Anyway, the feel is middling to light even though the carbonation is a little on the low side for the style; somehow it seems just right. Comes to a nice crisp point on the finish.
Again, I'd be hard pressed to guess the more memorable pale lagers I've had, but this strikes me as a really successful example of the style. The citrus isn't all that bright...it has a bit of an herbal dimension to it, but the bready lager notes are great, and the way it all adds up is great, too. Well done, Schell's.

Pretty dark gold for a pale lager. Brilliantly clear and a beautiful dense full white cap. Very attractive.
Aroma is tight. Soft grain and the fruit comes in time. I pick up more from the hops.
Clean drinking. Some drying. Fairly crips. Solid malt presence with hoppy citrus (tangerine like). The dried tangerine seems to show towards the end with a little bitterness and drying. There is an herbal quality, but it seems to blend well enough.
Rather full for a lager and carbonated moderately.
Least favorite of the pack, but still good and drinkable.

This beer pours a bright gold with a moderate head. The aroma is sharp and bright, with cracker malts, definite orange peel, clove, and black pepper. The flavor is also light and refreshing, with semi-sweet cracker malts, orange peel, lemon peel, clove, black pepper, and white pepper. The mouthfeel is round and full with moderate carbonation. Overall this is a really nice, crisp beer, that retains amazing drinkability with a solid base of flavor.

Definite citrus aroma, but a mild citrus rather than sharp, perhaps more generic tropical. Clear golden color, fluffy white head that recedes quickly to a cap. Very smooth feel and flavor. Mild citrus and tropical fruit flavor with the hops asserting in the middle, leading to a moderately bitter finish. This has a different flavor with citrus mixed with tropical and it is worth a try for those who enjoy experimental beers. I enjoyed it.

Definitely not my favorite out of the Peacock Pack. Nice looking pale lager with an aroma of faint citrus and bready malt. The flavor starts of nice but there is a weird finish that I assume comes from the tangerine peel. Sort of an odd medicinal bitterness. The body is light and lively.

Not noticeably citrus-flavored, but there's a bitterness that I can assume comes somewhat from the tangerine peels used in this (vs all from hops). The first few pulls left me not too impressed, however it did grow on me a bit after several sips. I'd drink it again, but wouldn't be my first choice out of the peacock pack that this beer comes in.
