Northland Gold pours a clean gold color, with a medium-sized, long-lasting, and lacing head. The aroma is cereal and chemicals. The flavor is pretty neutral, with some sweet cereal notes mixed in, but overall finishes on the bitter side. Nice feel. Overall, a nice lager, good enough amount of flavor.

Not much head, smelled very sweet. Malty, full-tasting, sweet wheat and honey. It's sort of boozy considering it's 4.9%, and features a tiny bit of flowery hops that I wasn't a huge fan of

From a 12oz can:
Appearance: Clear gold, big head.
Smell: Very nice fresh bread/bakery smell.
Taste: Mildly sweet to start, then the fresh bread kicks in with a nice balancing kick of grassy and slightly herbal hops. Medium bodied, a little syrupy.
Overall: Part of the Schell mix pack, this was a nice surprise. Schell makes good-to-great lagers so not too surprising, I suppose! Really great aroma and good taste, gets a little too Grain Belt-syrupy in the finish, but solid. I'll have to keep an eye out for 6 or 12 packs.

On tap. White head with lace. Clear golden color.
Pretty basic lager, but refreshing and flavorful on a hot day. Grainy, biscuity. Earthy, floral, grassy. Light bitterness and crispness. Smooth, easy drinking.

Described as a Helles German style lager on the can..it has the grainy sweet maltiness like a helles but perhaps a bit more of a spicy hop bite than you'd expect from the style...dryish on the finish more like a German Pils..some light lemony hop impressions as well...
Good beer....don't expect an American Lager....I'd prefer several other Helles lagers over this but if you want a bit more hopping in your Helles this would be the one for you.

Pours crystal clear honey gold with a thick albeit short-lived white cap. Spotty lacing. Aroma is faint, corn, biscuit and yeast. Flavor follows the nose, yeast and malt, a hint of sweetness, grassy hops in the finish. Feel is light bodied and well carbonated. Overall, just an American lager with no real special qualities.

12 oz can exp date stamp 07/04/24 into a Becher glass.
L: SRM 2 Pours bright light gold color with very good steady carbonation bubbles, a 1/4" eggshell white head that has very good retention, medium-thick random lacing.
S: Yeasty malts, a hint of white bread, distant fruit, a very light honey note.
T: Zesty & bright fruits, lime/lemon zest, bready caramelized malts, a hint of honey, dried fruit bread, grapefruit zest, melon rind, tastes are moderately bold overall, somewhat floral, spicy/earthy hops in the lingering finish.
F: Lightly crisp medium-light bodied feel with a long drying finish. Remains brisk until the final drink.
O: Definitely Germanic tasting. Nice job with this one. Notable hop gestures and zesty. It's long finish is particularly nice and it is more bitter than sweet. I would love to try this on tap! Convincing, delicious, easy drinking, and is outstanding in its style.
