L: pours golden-amber-maize with a healthy, creamy head (1/4”) that hung around for about five minutes. Cool label that features the Eiffel Tower, farm fields, radio waves and a pair of old HAM radio- like headphones.
S: barley, funk, esters and some sugars, maybe a bit of orange peel. Definitely catching coriander and peppercorn on the nose, as the label suggested.
T: definitely bitter funk, typical of saisons. Orange peel and coriander dominate with a bit of peppery zest on the back end.
F: crispy carbonation that is balanced by the smoothness of the malts. Some bitterness lingers on the tongue.
O: enjoyable and a nice change of pace given America’s obsession with hazy offerings. Reminiscent of a Belgian golden ale but with slightly less of a sugary profile. Nicely done.
