From a can this pours as expected. Billowy cloudy cap of foam overruns my stein. The nose is bready, with some faded hops on the back. Reminds me of an Euro Lager, which could be a sign of an old can. No date visible.

Just a well rounded lager. Lots of great pilsners out there but just a few helles lagers domestically. This is top notch. Wish they canned it in 12 oz!

A- pours a clear golden color with a two-finger foamy white head that has long retention before leaving plenty of lace behind
S- light floral and peppery hops, cracker malt, honey

M- medium body with medium carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel that turns slightly creamy into a crisp finish, high drinkability

When life in on the fritts, shouldn't your beer be too? That's what Old Nation brewers have in mind with their pilsner-styled lager.
Fritts has us getting back to basics with a tried and true lager taste that starts off with the faintest of haze locked within a bright golden glow. Subtle floral aromas carry the whimsy of honeysuckle and orange blossom along with a peppery scent for a bright and herbal perfume. Sweet and succinct in its early taste, the beer opens with a part-grain, part-malt blend that just bounces off of the tongue like powdered sugar.
The dry and wafer accented malts start to dissolve on the middle palate in order to allow the hops to shine. What was once floral is now fruity with hints of lemon and apple with a twinge of green berry before developing a spicy and grassy balance of parsley, lemon pepper, lemon grass and a hint of mint heading into finish.
Medium-light, crisp and clean, the brisk effervescence of the lager carries away any thirst with ease as it is a carefree, effortless drinking beer that would rather deliver refreshment than anything culinary significant. And there's always a place for a beer like this in the fridge.

Fantastic example of a Helles, Old Nation started brewing lagers long before M43, and this one is good, pick it up if you find it
