32 oz. crowler. Hazy pale orange. Smell is bright and citrusy. Some orange, sweetness from the lactose, but not distinctly lactose. Lots of grapefruit. Brett acidity. Taste is tart right up front. Balanced by a creamy sweetness. Grapefruit and sourness kick in. Sourness takes over the back end, which is where the passionfruit is. Medium body. Medium carbonation. Akin to the Milkshakes from Tired Hands, but the brett really pushes it into the sour category. Interesting, but I think I'd prefer it without the brett.

-hazy, pale yellow tap pour. Uniformly cloudy with very thin foam. The aroma is big juice with a hint of Brett. Flavors include citrus, mango? is tasty and seems clean and refreshing despite the high ABV. Special.

Finally made it out to the brewery.

Truly hazy orange with an off white head with good retention and lacing, this looks OK. The nose is pure passionfruit juice with a green, mildly grassy hop character. Muddy and messy, but the passionfruit character is really big here and makes it work. Malt character is minimal. The palate opens with a big passionfruit tartness and fruitiness, mildly sweet. This I'd filled by a moderate hop flavor minus the bitterness, with citrus, honey, mandarins, and a little pineapple. Mildly gritty with a grassy hop character that mildly irritates the back of my throat. Drying and fruity on the finish with a mild acidity from the passionfruit, a little gritty feel and some pulpy orange juice. While no substitute for a clean and pungent hop bitterness, the acidity does help tie the flavor elements together and does provide some structure to the palate. Alcohol is well hidden. Despite being a style I loathe, this one is quite solid.
