It's time to get Chronically Ill with this ultra dank hazy DIPA dry hopped with Simcoe, Columbus, Mosaic, and Mosaic Lupomax. This extra special beer was brewed for our long time friend Pete.

The 4-pack was $33, so I just got a single.
Great can art, nice pour into a stemless bubble glass. Persistent head, nice lacing. Pale, hazy peach body.
Definitely dank, but not the dankest I've smelled. Notes of pineapple, mango, apricot, lemon, lime, yellow grapefruit, ripe green pear and quince are all prominent. Floral hemp and a cucumbery planty freshness fill in the spaces between. Almost no base malt aroma. A hint of pie crust maybe.
A sharp metalic note, reminiscent of blood and chlorine, pops up immediately every time I go in for a sniff and then vanishes after a second. It's honestly off-putting, and considering this beer is priced at double the already ridiculous market rate, imperfections this loud and unpleasant really have no excuse being here.
This beer really disappears on the palate. After that smell, this muddy, vaguely tropical hop smoothie just really doesn't satisfy the expectation the aroma creates. Except that shitty metallic note. That definitely lingers on the finish for minutes after a sip.
Mouthfeel is typical of a hazy: medium body, dry finish. I just wish it didn't make me feel like I just licked the back of a street sign.
I'm glad I only got the one pint, and I'm taking extra points off for being overpriced af. Definitely an overrated beer. Maybe the last batch was better?

Poured from 16oz can into my BeerAdvocate teku. Canned 12/4/25. Evidently this beer is back from a long hiatus!
Appearance: medium yellow hue with plenty of haze and a finger of frothy ivory foam atop.
Smell: earthy tropical aroma of papaya and passionfruit and mango, with the sweetness to back it up. A rich tropical juice bomb — just my kinda thing!
Taste: those nice juicy tropical flavors from the aroma, with an added dimension of some peach/apricot stone fruit in there. There’s also a little bit of a musty thing to the hops, which isn’t ideal, but it’s still quite good.
Mouthfeel: medium-rich body with a good level of carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: a really solid hazy DIPA. I wish its flavor more closely matched its aroma, but it’s still a damn fine beer.

Pours an opaque yellow on the cusp of orange, with a foamy white head that has exceptional lacing, despite it's surface recession.
Mango, citrus zest, and lime lead the progression into a mild candy like sugar and finally some hints of pine.
The flavor seems a tad muted, but still has a tropical fruit presence. Very rind or pithy like, with an earthy finish consisting of said pine.
Surprisingly, this is not as creamy as I was expecting. It's still smooth and rich, but seems to have a bold amount of carbonation that tingles and ultimately leads to a dry finish. A hefty bitterness does come through, and even cuts the abv slightly.
This may not be my favorite from GN, but it's still a damn good brew. Cheers!
