We took our beloved Juice Jr. IPA and fermented it with a mixed culture of Brett and bacteria. The result is a delightfully funky ale with big tropical notes.

Aroma reminiscent of papaya, dragonfruit, white grape skin, and brine-y pickle is what I'm able to pick up on the nose. The acetic pickle notes seem to intensify as the brew warms up, with the papaya notes slowly changing to raw papaya salad, like the ones they serve down at Pok Pok.

The flavors manifest in reverse order on the palate: the pickle offends the tongue ever so lightly before allowing the white grape and tropical fruit characteristics to shine through with a hint of lemon zest. The flavors are by no means intense -- they leave just enough of an impression to pass as a "fruited sour," or maybe a Berliner Weissbier without the wheat grainy notes. Finishes dry and squeeky clean.

Crisp, with a light-ish body. I want to say this is somewhat refreshing, but the pickle...ness kinda detracts that element away from the brew for me. Either way great execution of a great idea, just wish it was less... pickle juice-y.
