Collaboration with Bottle Logic Brewing

This collaboration with our good friends at Bottle Logic is a true power struggle between Tesla and Sir Lumbo the 5th. This IPA is dry hopped with electrifying amounts of Galaxy, Vic Secret, Citra and Sabro.

Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a one pint can on September 1, 2019. Brewed in collaboration with Bottle Logic Brewing. Dry hopped with Galaxy, Vic Secret, Citra and Sabro. Very nice.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a very hazy yellowish orange with a one finger white head with good retention and light lacing. Aroma of pale malt, citrus and tropical fruit hops, tangerine, yuzo, pineapple, mango and a little green onion. Flavor is pale malt, citrus hops, orange, mixed tropical fruit, faint stone fruit, mint and a bit of dankness. Nice citrus and resinous hop finish with satisfactory bitterness. Medium bodied with light creaminess. I've been hearing about Great Notion for years, but none has visited Washington until just recently. Since they lean towards hazy IPAs, they have not been on the top of my search list, but they are so respected I wanted to try them out. They appear to deserve their accolades; this is a solid, fruity and intense hazy IPA. Fortunately for me, it has some solid bitterness in the finish that kept my interest. There are quite a few herbal notes that make the hop bill interesting, too. A hazy I can appreciate.
