Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewery pint glass
A: Pours hazy golden amber with a frothy off white head that settles to a thin layer and leaves a little spotty lacing.
S: Pleasant tartness, citrus, soft tropical and stone fruit, faint kinda wild funk, biscuity malt, and a touch of caramel sweetness.
T: Bright, pleasantly tart, juicy citrus, tropical, and stone fruit, tangerine, apricot, peach, mango, lychee, lemon, lime, and a touch of grapefruit, biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness.
M: A little on the fuller side of medium body, slightly prickly moderate carbonation, tartness is very pleasant, not mouth puckering.
O: Sour IPAs don't normally get me that excited, but this one is fantastic. Flavors really come together nicely.

Very sour and citrusy. Kind of tastes like sour orange juice but in a good way. Good morning beer in my opinion. Tangerine dominates the apricot flavor.

Nice straw appearance with nice white head that dissipates slowly. Aroma is a nice sour. State is a little weak flavored sour that dos not have the apricot taste I expected from Great Notions.

I initially rated this beer from an on-premises tasting in Jan 2020; I’ve updated my rating to reflect the can tasting. Canned 11/9/2020.
Apricult pours an opaque yellow (between lemon and grapefruit juice). The apricot/tangerine aromas have faded into a generic sweet citrus-like smell. The taste is kettle sour, with some backbone from the lactose and a minimal contribution from the hops. This is a more balanced sour than many examples of this style, but it’s still a little lacking in the complexity thus style can have.

Orange juice appearance, frothy white foam.
Smells tart with citrus and pulverized orchard fruit.
Tastes similar with noticeable tangerine. The apricot comes off more like a blend of said orchard fruits. A touch of lemon lime in the finish.
Nice balance of sweet and sour. Light feel, but sticky. Would never know it's creeping in on 8%.
I actually quite like this little (big) collab. Tasty and delivers on everything it advertises. Cheers.
