This Imperial Breakfast Stout was brewed with 200 pounds of crispy bacon and fermented with maple syrup. OINK is NOT a vegetarian beer :)

On tap at Imperial Bottleshop today.
The beer pours the expected blackish brown color with good head retention and light lacing. As the previous reviewer noted, this really doesn't have the look of a rich, full bodied impy stout. That being said, the nose is huge and impressive, as I get a massive amount of maple syrup, with underlying bacon, coffee and light vinegar. There's a light Smokey quality that is nice as well. Given how impressive the nose is, I'm a bit disappointed in the flavor profile on the palate. On the other hand, it's more complex, as I pick up dark chocolate, coffee, vanilla and maple syrup (the latter really comes on strong on the finish). Not getting much bacon flavor or smokiness, but it's noticeable. Mouthfeel is a tad bit thin for the abv, but it's at least medium bodied with a long, moderately sweet finish. Drinkability is pretty good I think... This beer isn't as nearly over the top sweet as some of the pastry stouts from GN.
Shrug. At this point we all know what GN is all about. That being said, I thought this a pretty tasty beer from GN. I would order this again.

On draft at Great Notion (Alberta) brew pub, served in a snifter.
Deep dark brown/black with fine bubble foam ring around the edge of glass. This had loads and loads of maple, both in the aroma and the flavor. The bacon wasn't initially present but after letting the beer warm up quite a bit, it did come out a bit. But the feel was the real killer here: on the medium-thin, for a 10.5% abv.
