On tap at NW Growlers in pdx.
The beer pours a clear golden amber color with pretty decent head retention and moderate lacing. The nose is pretty wild, as only a Great Notion ipa can be. There's a huge aroma of Hawaiian punch and orange coolaide. Not what I normally expect in an ipa, but then this beer was made by Great Notion (who tend to specialize in this sort of thing). On the palate, this beer is almost nauseatingly sweet. The hop profile just isn't sufficient to handle this level of sweetness. Mouthfeel is medium bodied to full, with a touch of heat from alcohol on the finish. There's virtually no noticeable bitterness on the finish (and this is a beer that could some).
The adjunct IPA's put out by GN can be hit or miss at times, and this ipa would seem to fall into the latter category. This is pretty much a drain pour, and is a beer I will not make the mistake of ordering again.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
