The legend of Oggy began as an exclusive beer brewed to commemorate the opening of our Ballard and Georgetown taprooms in Seattle. Short for Ogopogo, a mythical lake monster, our Oggy is a hazy IPA dry hopped with Citra and Galaxy hops. Citra and Mosaic hops are used in the whirlpool as well, for a triple threat of three of our most preferred hops. We get a grapefruit backbone with notes of ripe and juicy peaches with floral tones.

Copenhagen 9/2 2023. 47,3 cl can from Mikkeller web-shop. Drawing of the fearsome, Canadian sea monster Ogopogo on the can
Pours opaque, hazy golden yellow with a huge white hed. A bit bubbly. Settles as uneven, patchy layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a sweet odor of ripe stone fruits mingling with an curbs scent of citrus fruit. Peach and mango with bit of sugar on top. Grapefruit and citrus.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, slightly viscous, soft, smooth, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a medium strong citrus bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter but soon overpowered by a sugary undertone. Lingers for a while. Finish is a tad sugary.
A NEIPA quite much on the sweet side.

Good NEIPA. Poured from a 16 oz can into a pint glass, this beer features the typical hazy straw yellow color and foamy white head common to most NEIPAs. The head is medium sized with good retention. There issome lacing on the glass. Aroma and taste feature grapefruit with a mild malty presence. Mouthfeel is crisp and a little juicy. Goes down real well. Enjoyable.

Draft at the Handlebar. Hazy golden pour, tight, creamy white head. Light fruity aroma. Taste is soft, bready, light citrus peel, mealy with a mild juicy finish.

Fantastic hazy here; 16oz can, two months old but still vibrant and extremely hop-forward. Hazy pale straw pour with a fluffy white head. Citra-dominated nose and palate, lots of tropical fruit...pineapple, grapefruit, grassy, white wine spritzer...gives off quite a southern Hemisphere vibe to me actually, reminiscent of Nelson hops...very good overall!

Dark straw colors, cloudy, cloudy, cloudy. Fluffy head and lacing. Notes of grapefruit, mild orange on the nose. Tastes of grapefruit, a bit of grassiness. Medium bodied, subtle alcohol, mouth watering finish. Subtle version of an NEIPA.
