adult and delicious, i expected a sugar bomb, but its really not, the base stout is great, the banana comes through, and the chocolate is unifying without being dominant, impressively good. black and slick looking from the tap with just a short layer of bubbles on the top, high shine, almost greasy looking, quite viscous. the aroma is muted, cohesive, and interesting, with a sort of starchy green banana thing going on, dark chocolate with some bitterness, roast and espresso notes from the dark grain, and some brown sugar and caramel character here too, but not over the top, very pleasant and oddly kind of fresh with what the banana brings, trace toasted coconut character as it warms too, not super alcoholic for what it is either. the flavor is nice, comes in waves, ripe but not overripe banana through much of it, but hitting right away and then again on the swallow and recall, but in the middle its more of the luxurious chocolate, the roasty dark grain, and the slick fuller body, with light smoke, tobacco, and coffee complexity, hints of vanilla and maple in play, sweet but not insanely so, and quite resolved and balanced at the end. the banana has a lightly cooked thing about it, not to caramelized, but its a distinct note. palate coating but in a good way, love the aftertaste. nice proportions on this, excellent chocolate addition, both quality and quantity, and overall a fun and well executed specialty stout that i think easily outcompetes most others in the game right now with bananas, which is more than anyone would have guessed a few years go, but bananas are hot right now in stout for some reason. i really dug this.

Shimmering black with a brown ring. Smells of roasted malts with semi-sweet chocolate. Taste starts with standard roasted malt stout with a gentle yet firm banana covered with nesquik chocolate, simpler yet pleasant. Body is lighter for an imperial yet has a thorough malt backbone and booze is super well hidden. Good chocolate banana stout, throw-back like

Very dark appearance with nice light brown head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is a malt with a very slight banana. Taste is a nice blend of banana and chocolate. A little thin.
