The waters are cool, and this refreshing sour beer is full of our favorite flavors like watermelon and strawberry. We balance out some of that sweetness with the help of the Hibiscus flower. We add the dried petals in the whirlpool which add a beautiful color, and a rad floral lemon flavor to the beer.

Copenhagen 25/2 2023. 47,3 cl can from Mikkeller web-shop. A bear grandmother fussing with bowls of fruit juice on the can.
Pours opaque, murky maroon with a red hue. Small off-white head. Bubbly. Settles as a thin patch of foam floating about.
Aroma is fairly intense with a sweet fruity odor mingling with tart notes. Sweet peach, strawberry and watermelon. Lemon and gooseberries. Fresh.
Strong carbonation. Thin, watery, lively and fizzy texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong sourness. Aftertaste is tart with a sweet undertone. Lingers for a bit. Finish is semi-dry.
Impressively fresh despite being a bit over the “best before” date.

I've looked at this one multiple times and I'm finally pulling the trigger. Didn't need to though, it was exactly what I thought it would be, and not really for me. That being said it had an attractive, red-hazed appearance with a pinkish-head, and the nose and palate I could see being very refreshing with strong strawberry and watermelon characteristics. However, the combination of everything within this one, integrated with the herbal, earthy hibiscus, dried me out and wasn't particularly pleasant. I didn't finish the can.
