Poured from a 16 ounce can dated 2-5-26 into a snifter at 44.1 degrees F.
Appearance- Medium gold, mildly hazy, white creamy head, average head retention, above average lacing.
Aroma- Clementine, pineapple, pith, passionfruit, white grape, pine resin, medium strength of scent.
Flavor- Pith, pith, pith, slight white grape, slight pineapple, slight pine at finish, highly boozy, high strength of flavor.
Mouthfeel- Between medium and full body, average carbonation, highly bitter, highly boozy, soft, moderately creamy, highly mouth warming, moderately mouth coating, highly astringent.
Overall- Medium gold and mildly hazy with average head retention and above average lacing. The bouquet was a promising mix of clementine, pineapple, pith, passionfruit, white grape and pine resin at a medium strength. The best part about the flavor was the high intensity and the worst part about the flavor was the high intensity. The flavor profile was dominated by an extreme pithy character meaning it tasted like I grabbed an orange, peeled it, and ate the peel. Actually, the best part about the flavor was the booziness. The mouthfeel consisted of a bunch of desirable attributes, but the high astringency was a huge detractor. Overall, this beer had moderate strength aromatics and huge flavor. The only problem was the flavor wasn't desirable, but at least it was citrusy, so the booziness made it tolerable.
