I am sampling a 16 oz can at cellar temp and pouring into a snifter. The beer is date stamped 10/17/2022.
The beer pours a rich black coffee color with a bit of creamy tan head foaming up about 1 cm. this foam fades to a thin edge layer soon after the pour. There is one surface swelling of bubbles in the middle of the glass, but no lasting foam forms.
Aroma is huge and evident right from the pour. I get roasted peanuts, dark chocolate and hints of caramel, like a werthers candy. there is a bit of husky peanut note also, but no hop character and the booze is pretty well hidden too.
First sip reveals a medium to thick body with soft texture and carbonation. The beer does leave a bit of sticky coating on my lips with each sip. Beer is fairly gentle on my palate from the physical traits.
Flavor is similar to the nose. here i get a load of hot cocoa mix, with roasted peanuts and the husky shells mixing with a bit of sweet caramel on the finish. The chocolate rolls to some bolder fudge notes on the finish and this is wheat lingers. I do get a bit of warming heat on the swallow too. Never any hop character on this beer.
This is a pretty big and sweet beer, Im gonna be sipping this one for a bit as I decompress from the day.

Canned 10/17/22. “Another deep cut” stamped on the side of the can
I’m surprised it took me this long to get to the last beer of the mystery BIF box snaotheus sent me, but I forgot this one was in the fridge for a while. Let’s crack this guy open and see what it has to offer
Pours a very dark brown with 2 fingers of dark tan head that quickly fades to a ring and leaves minimal lacing
The nose is quite sweet here, but there’s a nice roastiness to balance it out. I’m picking up on aromas of milk chocolate, marshmallow, burnt caramel, peanut butter, sweet vanilla, light roast coffee, and light almond
It unfortunately trends a bit too sweet in taste, but I don’t necessarily hate it. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting peanut butter, milk chocolate, sweet caramel, marshmallow, light roast coffee, and light vanilla. The swallow brings notes of peanut butter, milk chocolate, marshmallow, light roast coffee, burnt caramel, and light toffee
A full body pairs with gentle carbonation, resulting in a rich and decadent beer. Finishes neutral but quite sweet
This one isn’t great, but it’s still passable for what it is

Shared a pour with another at NW PDX. 5 oz pour.
Look - Dark. Thin tan head.
Smell/taste - snickers bar. Super sweet.
Feel - super sticky and thick.
Overall - desert in a glass. As noted, I split this pour with another. I’d image trying to take on a pint of this by yourself could possibly be a chore.
